Dacosta Anane to pay five thousand cedis as general damages. Former Brong Ahafo United CEO Richard Amankwa has sued Bofaokwa Tano Secretary, Dascosta Anane at the Sunyani District Court ’ B’ seeking general damages to the tune of Five thousand Ghana cedis( GHø5,000).

It would be recalled that on Thursday 28th June, 2012,at around 11:00 am, Mr. Dacosta Anane published a defamatory words against Richard Amankwa on air at ARK FM Sports Show alleging the plaintiff has planned with some supporters of United to disrupt the replay match between Bofoakwa Tano and B/A United on Wednesday 4th July, 2012 at the coronation park.

According to the writ , the said statement has tarnished the plaintiff reputation and image in the Sunyani township and beyond and has also disgraced the plaintiff as a good citizen and for that matter the defendant should be brought to book to substantiate the unlawful utterances since the defendant knew that the utterances he made on air were false but his only intention was to disgrace the plaintiff herein in public.
