B/A select side ready for stars

Come Wednesday 27th November 2002, a Regional select-side made up of players from the three premier football clubs in the Brong Ahafo Region will engage an entire locally-based Black Stars in a special friendly at the Sunyani Coronation Park. The regional select-side would be made up of players from B/A United, Tano Bofoakwa and Berekum Arsenals.Also to make a special appearance for the Brong Ahafo side is former Kotoko and Meteors player, Abu Zeid, who now plies his soccer trade with a Kuwaiti side, Al Kazma.

Speaking at their training grounds on Monday, Coaches, Emmanuel Quarshie and Kwasi Owusu of the B/A Team, both expressed satisfaction with the output of players in camp so far and hoped come Wednesday, they’ll give the Stars a run for their money. A co-ordinator for the match, Mr. Ransford Antwi also asked the Black Stars to prepare themselves for a highly competitive encounter.
