B.A. Utd. Demand ?52.5m From Dodzie?s Transfer

Division One side, B.A. United, have asked the High Court to help them retrieve ?52.5 million from Accra Great Olympics following the Premier League side?s breach of a contract over the transfer of player Kwabena Dodzie.

They have also pleaded with the court to help them recover full interest on the sum covering one-and-a-half years for Olympics? failure to pay an agreed 35 per cent share of an onward transfer fee from Olympics to another club.

In a writ of summons filed at the Sunyani High Court, B.A. United said they transferred Kwabena Dodzie to Olympics in April 2001.

By the agreement of the transfer, the club said in its statement B.A. United were entitled to 35 per cent of any subsequent transfer fee accruing on the player.

It said Olympics, indeed, transfered the player in 2005 to Kotoko for ?150 million but failed to pay the required ?52.5 million.

Dodzie, meanwhile, has become an integral part of Kotoko?s squad, forming a formidable representation in midfield.
