Atsu hopes to replicate performance in Everton

Ghana midfielder Christian Atsu is hoping to replicate his fine form at the 30th Africa Cup of Nations at his club side, Everton.

Atsu, who has been the play maker for Ghana at the competition and has so far won the “Man of The Match” twice told the media that, he was impressed with his performance so far in the competition and was looking forward to do same for his club.

“Things were bad for me at my club side before I came to the tournament but that is how football is. You can have bad days and good days as well. I have my bad days. I want to go back to Everton with the form I have exhibited here because that will earn me a regular playing time”, he said.

Touching on the game against Cote D’ Ivoire, Atsu was confident of leading the team to another victory.

"We have played some of the best sides and best games in the competition, it will not be different on Sunday. It is going to be as tough as the other matches but we have always survived each game with our tough mentality.

“This is the best time for us to win the cup and make the nation proud. We look forward to another victory but we have to work hard.”
