Ashgold beat Liberty in Obuasi

Accra, May 2, GNA - Obuasi Ashantigold collected the maximum three points when they beat Dansoman Liberty Professionals 2-0 in their Week 26 Glo Premier League match at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, Obuasi on Monday.

The two sides started the game on a bright note but it was Ashgold who had the upper hand and pinned Liberty to their own half in search of an early goal.

Their efforts were thus rewarded in the 13th minute when Emmanuel Adjetey's free-kick sailed straight into the net with Liberty keeper Patrick Antwi having no answer.

Alhaji Sannie made it two for Ashgold in the 65th minute from a Latif Mohammed's cross.

Liberty made last minute efforts in search of a consolation goal, which never came their way until the final whistle.
