Ashanti Region wins

Ashanti region beat Brong-Ahafo region 2-1 in the 9th edition of the inter regional primary schools Under "12" soccer tournament currently going on at Cape Coast.

From the blast of the whistle, the Brong boys seized the midfield and forced their Ashanti counterparts to play in their own half of the field for a considerable length of time.

However, in the 10th minute, the Ashantis forced the tide in their favour and following series of raids in their opponents vital area inside left, Emmanuel Osei, scored the opener in the 16th minute.

The Brong boys returned the attack and five minutes later centre forward Kweku Yeboah levelled up matters after disposing of two defenders.

After this goal, Brong-Ahafo made some changes but the changes did not deter the Ashanti boys from increasing the tally to 2-1 through inside right Nyametease Gideon in the 32nd minute.
