Ash Gold to take on Chelsea

The FA Cup Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has fixed Saturday, June 23, for the first semi final match between Obuasi AshGold and Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.

AshGold reached this stage by beating Hearts 5-4 on penalties, whilst Chelsea picked the semi finals slot with a lone goal defeat over Amidaus Professionals.

Chelsea would use the opportunity to pick a place in the next continental competition after failing to retain the Premier League trophy, whilst the Miners are also seeking a continental place, hence an uncompromising game is anticipated.

According to the Committee, the abortive game between Wassaman United and Tema Youth FC has been referred to the Disciplinary Committee of the GFA for redress.

In view of this, New Edubiase United has to wait for the outcome of the case to know its opponent in the semi finals.**
