Arsenal Outdoors Air-Conditioned Bus

Berekum Arsenal’s quest to make big impact in the ongoing premier League received a major boost last Saturday when the club was presented with a 44-seatre fully air-conditioned bus in a short but very impressive ceremony at Berekum.

The Berekum Township witnessed her largest crowd in recent times as thousands of people line up along the principal streets of the town to catch a glimpse of the bus.

The programme which was scheduled to begin at 2.30pm delayed for almost three hours due to the late arrival of the bus from Kumasi where it was sent for registration and spraying. But the expectant fans were least bothered as they kept singing and dancing in anticipation of the triumphant entry of the bus.

When the much awaited bus finally pulled up around 5.30pm, there was spontaneous jubilation amidst touting of horns and beating of drums. The bus painted in red and white has inscription “THE PRIDE OF BEREKUM” at the back. Again, a gun, which is the symbol of the club, is boldly displayed infront of the bus.

Presenting the bus to the management, the financier of the bus and the chairman of council of patrons, Mr. Ernest Apraku charged the management to use the bus solely for the purpose for which it was bought. He further assured the management of his unrelenting support and called the management and the playing body to deliver on the field of play.

On his part, the chairman of the club, Alhaji Moro Yakubu thanked Mr. Apraku for his continuous support to the club and promised to work harder to justify the confidence reposed in him.
