Appiah to return to Serie A?

According to reports in the Italian media, Stephen Appiah could be on his way back to Serie A this summer. It could be Roma or Juventus.

Roma hopes to convince the former Juve midfielder to return to Italy.

Roma coach, Luciano Spalletti, sees Appiah as an alternative to Inter Milan's David Pizarro, but knows he must find more than ?5 million to bring Fener to the negotiating table.

According to another source, Juventus is eyeing the possibility of re-uniting with the 24-year-old.

Appiah joined Fenerbache from Juve at the beginning of the 2005-06 season in a surprise $9m deal.

Current Juventus coach Fabio Capello worked with Appiah and is a big admirer of the player.

The Ghanaian national team captain is enjoying a fantastic season in Turkey with Fenerbahce, where he is on a cool $2.2 million-a-year salary.
Appiah played for Udinese, Parma and Brescia while in Italy
