Andre Ayew fitness boost for Marseille

Ghana winger Andre 'Dede' Ayew has handed a massive boost to his French side Marseille after recovering from a groin injury.

The 21-year-old has been out of action for ten days after suffering the injury while playing for the Black Stars.

The absence of the youngster, whose national team played Swaziland and Brazil last week, was a blow to his French club Marseille.

But he has declared himself fit for Sunday trip to Lyon which is a massive boost for Marseille who are languishing near the relegation zone.

"I stopped training for ten days but now I have the green light from doctors. I felt good in training today. I have recovered," Ayew said at a news conference on Friday.

He missed last Saturday's Ligue 1 match at home to Rennes and this week's opening Champions League group match against Olympiakos in Athens.

The former European champions have been drawn in Group F, with Arsenal of England and Germany's Borussia Dortmund completing the pool.

After five games of the French league season, Marseille lie 17th in the 20-team league - without a win to their name.
