Amidu Salifu makes Brescia debut

Ghanaian international Amidu Salifu made his debut for Brescia by coming off the bench to play in their 2-1 away loss against Pro Vercelli on Saturday.

Brescia manager Roberto Boscaglia named the midfielder in his 21-man squad for the game but did not hand him a starting place as he came off the bench in the last 8 minutes of normal time to play.

The 23-year-old replaced Italian midfielder Jacopo Dall'Oglio at the Stadio Silvio Piola as Brescia threw away an early lead to lose the game to their hosts.

He left fellow Serie B side Perugia to sign for Brescia in the recently-shut winter transfer period.

Brescia are sixth on the Serie B table with 38 points from 25 games, their 38 is 17 shy of leaders Cagliari who are hotly chasing promotion back to the Serie A.
