Amankwei’s effort provided the tonic for fans of Juth to celebrate the club’s first Premier League victory since the current campaign resumed in November. It was also the third Premier League goal for the Ghanaian who scored back-to-back goals on match day one and two respectively.

“I must confess that it’s great to be on the score sheet again after missing several matches due to malaria. It’s been painful watching my team lose points, so I’m happy to be back.

It’s a great comeback for me.

“The entire team was ready for Heartland. It was a match we prepared for,” the Ghanaian said to SuperSport.com on Thursday.

Amankwei said the goal has prepared him for a nice break in his native Ghana.

“I need to spend sometime with my mother and return next week for the league. I’m heading to Ghana on Friday,” he added.

Amankwei is the leading scorer at Juth with three goals.

Juth who have recorded the highest number of draws are placed 19th on the log, one step ahead of city rivals, Plateau United.
