All set for African Nations Cup draw

Accra, Oct. 18, GHP -- The draw for the 26th Africa Cup of Nations will take place tomorrow at the Accra Conference Center beginning at 15:00(GMT).

Before the draw, the 16 teams taking part in the finals will be seeded in four pots of four teams each.

Hosts Ghana, defending champions Egypt, Cameroon and Tunisia are favourites to be put in Pool 1 of top seeds.

Pool 2 is expected to comprise of: 2006 losing finalists Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Senegal and Morocco.

Pool 3: Angola, South Africa, Guinea and Zambia

Pool 4: Benin, Mali, Namibia Sudan

The seedings are expected to be finalized today after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) organising committee of the Africa Cup of Nations meets.

There is a huge representation of CAF hierarchy including its President, Issa Hayatou and Executive Committee Members, Sponsors, and Representatives of the sixteen qualified teams among others while the Ghana 2008 Local Organising Committee puts finishing touches regarding a successful event.
