Ainooson targets last two finish at COSAFA

Asante Kotoko defender, Abeiku Ainooson has set a last two finish target as the Local Black Stars prepare for the on-going Confederation of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) Championship in South Africa.

Ghana will battle winners of Group B on May 24 for the quarter-final spot at the Moruleng Stadium.

Ainooson told GNA Sports, he hopes his experience in Africa will help carry the team to the finals of the competition.

He said that "It is every player’s dream to play for the national team and it is a privilege if you are called. You need to give all your best because there are other players waiting for this opportunity.

He stated that, those playing in the Black Stars started from somewhere and this might be the time for any of the local players to get a chance join the ranks of the senior team as Ghana prepares for the AFCON 2017 qualifiers.
