Agbeko to handle the Accra derby

Accra, Sept 23, GNA - FIFA referee Justus Agbeko has been picked by the Referees Appointments Committee to handle the 23rd week Kinapharma Premier derby between Great Olympics and Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Abgeko who just returned from the United Kingdom where he just completed his Masters Degree in Administration is no stranger to such high profile matches. He would be assisted on the flanks by assistant referees ASK Annor and Raymond Cudjoe all from Accra.

At Koforidua, another celebrated FIFA referee Alex Quartey from Accra would be in the middle in the match between Stay Cool and Liberty Professionals. Samuel Quaye and J K Montford both from Accra would run the lines.

The match between B A United and Hasaacas scheduled for the Sunyani Coronation Park will be handled by Tema based Referee Daniel Offei with Prince Worgbe and Mary Seidu both from Tema managing the lines. Referee E. Fergusson from Accra would in charge of the match between highflying King Faisal and Real Tamale United (RTU) at the Kumasi Sports Stadium; his assistants would be David Qagyen and Ashitey Armah all from Accra.

At Kpando referee E N Adjei from Accra would be in charge of the match between Heart of Lions and Berekum Arsenals. Referees J A Pinto-Sowah and Victor Dwamena from Accra and Tema respectively would be his assistants.

Mine Stars and Kumasi Asante Kotoko match at Prestea will be handled by S. Kwateng from Koforidua with his assistants Dan Aheli and Sarpong Okuampah, both of Koforidua.

Another Accra based referee C Dowuona has been scheduled to handle Okwawu United match against Bofoakwa at the Mpraeso Brighton Park. The assistant referees who also come from Accra are Faustina Ziorklui and S Fiifi-Gyan.

At the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium, referee Ibrahim Iddrisu from Tamale would be in charge of the Goldfields match against Power F/C with A. S. Seidu and As Malik all from Kumasi manning the lines.
