Aduana's Glo G8 hopes dashed

Berekum Chelsea end Aduana Stars’ hopes of a last four place in the GHALCA Glo G8 after winning 2-0 at the Coronation Park on Sunday.

Goals from Nigerien international Moussa Mohammed and captain Mohammed Basit secured Chelsea the top spot in Group A to set up a semi-final match against AshantiGold on Thursday.

New Edubiase are into the semi-finals after edging Aduana to that spot following a 1-0 win over Heart of Lions.

Despite finishing level on points with Aduana, four points apiece, Edubiase advanced on a better goal difference despite.

The Bekwai-based side will meet Medeama in the last four on Wednesday.

In Group B, Medeama SC and AshantiGold both advanced to the last four after drawing 1-1 at the Sekondi Stadium on Sunday.

Louis Agyemang opened the scoring in the first half before the Miners rallied to draw level in the second half.

Liberty Professionals thrashed Ebusua Dwarfs 4-0 to place third with three points in the other game.
