Frank Acheampong made a late cameo for Anderlecht as they defeated Kortrijk 3-1 away on Sunday afternoon.

It was the Ghanaian forward’s sixteenth appearance this season where he has scored once in the Belgian Pro League.

Anderlecht opened scoring via Nicolae Stanciu just before the half hour mark and doubled their lead courtesy of ?ukasz Teodorczyk eleven minutes after the restart.

The hosts found the net via Frenchman Idriss Saadi later on but Ivan Obradovi? made sure the three points were saved for Anderlecht on 81 minutes.

Coach Rene Weiler then threw Acheampong on with three minutes left to play in place of Algerian Sofiane Hanni who had provided the assist for Obradovic.

Acheampong is expected to be part of Avram Grant’s Black Stars squad that would challenge for the Africa Cup of Nations title in Gabon next month.

The 23-year-old was part of the Ghana squad that lost 2-0 to Egypt in last month’s 2018 World Cup qualifier in Alexandria.
