Cape Coast, Sept. 29, GNA - Accra GHATEL Ladies emerged the 'Zone 3' Women's League champions when they pipped Winneba Soccer Intellectuals 1-0 in the final match played at Robert Mensah Stadium, Cape Coast.

The match winner was scored by Diana Ankoma, who played a yeoman's game in the competition.

Eight clubs drawn from the Central, Volta and Greater Accra Regions participated in the competition. Mr Matthew Doe, Central Regional Chairman of the Ghana Football Association presented the championship trophy to Accra GHATEL Ladies amid jubilation by their supporters. Other women clubs which took part in the competition were La Ladies, Ho GHATEL Ladies, Cape Coast GHATEL Ladies, Accra Athleta Ladies, Ketu Ladies and Ho Faith Ladies.
