Konadu: Not all of Ghana's best made Black Stars squad

Assistant Coach of the Black Stars Maxwell Konadu has admitted that there are many other quality players that Coach Avram Grant did not mention in the 31-man provisional list for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The former Chelsea Boss’ decision to overlook Ismaily striker John Antwi in his preliminary squad has been criticized by some pundits, fans and members of the sports media, who insist the former Hearts of Oak and Eleven Wise youngster had worked hard enough to merit a place in the squad.

“During the Champions League we were monitoring them and the Europa League and even their local leagues. And there are even some good ones that are not mentioned here. It’s about making sure that at least we widen our scope and make sure that we select the best of the best,” Coach Konadu said.

The Black Stars will leave for Spain on January 3rd to hold a 10-11 day pre-tournament camping, where they will play friendly matches.
