3 Top Stars Suspended

Three top stars have been suspended for ten matches for acts incompatible with the spirit of the Greater-Accra Playing Cards Association.

They are: Jones Jonal of E.T. Stars, Tettey Hoozolar of Professionals and Seth of Mighty Toppers. According to a spokesman of the Association, Karimau Sambo alias Yaro- Yaro, the suspension is to beat down the indiscipline rearing its head in the game.

Meanwhile Mighty Jets continue to lead the table with 87 points from 34 matches. Mighty Jets who beat Trocadero in their last match are twelve points ahead of Bazooka and Dynasty who have bagged 75 points, and are lying second and third respectively.

The match of the week was the encounter between Liquenders and Show Boys. Liquenders led up to Round 10 with 12 marks, but by Round 24 the encounter became a neck to neck affair. After the break, Ottu Guy "J" and Hanson of Liquenders found their scoring form and took Liquenders to Round 48, leading with 24 marks.

Dallas and Pharmacy of Show Boys stepped in to reduce the lead considerably. But their best was not enough to stop Liquenders from winning the encounter with 8 marks.

Others results are as follows:

Born Again lost to Bazooka, T.T. Stars won over Believers whilst Researchers lost to Dantu.

Rangers beat Guava-Inn, E.T. Stars lost to Mighty Toppers, Dan Rose beat Professionals, Trocadero lost to Mighty Jets, Dynasty beat Zoom- Zoom and Stay Cool lost to Magic Hands. The league being sponsored by Ghana Breweries (Ltd), ABC Lager Beer, continues with interesting pairings on Sunday.
