14 invited to Meteors camp

Accra, Aug 7, GNA 96 The technical bench of the National Under-23 team, the Black Meteors has invited 14 players from some Premier and Division One football clubs to report at the Ghanaman Soccer School of Excellence at Prampram to justify their inclusion.

According to a statement issued by the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association signed by his Deputy, Emmanuel Gyimah said the selected players are to report on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 for the exercise, which will last from August 9 to 14.

The Meteors team headed by celebrated coach, 'Sir' Cecil Jones Attuquayefio recently stepped their preparation towards the qualification series for the 2008 Olympic scheduled for Beijing, China. The justifier is part of a series of exercises planned to select the best materials that fall within the age category to help the country qualify for their second straight Olympics soccer tournament after Athens 2004.

The selected players are Alex Ansah (Mine Stars), Amadou Bodouna (Gamba All Blacks) Nana Dankwa (Tema Youth) Eric Kolekana (Gbewa United) Mathias Tonton (Maxbees) Yaw Alex (B. A. United), Rahim Ayew (Nania FC). The reast are Moro Ibrahim (Lepo Stars) Daniel Addo (Kessben) Dakey Raymond and Bonsu Michael (FCM Maamobi) Sefa Yaw and Yaw Gyasi (Bibiani Goldstars) and Joe Carr (Vipers) .
