Is it true that ...

Contrary to the suspicions of Alhaji Moctar Musa Bamba that Hawa Yakubu Ogede had anything to do with the exposure of his fraudulent deals at the Presidency, the real culprit who spilled the beans that led to the chain of events resulting in the resignation of the Wenchi East MP is a female member of the Busia family who is a leading member of the NPP because it is the belief of the Busia family that the Wenchi East constituency is the 'dynastic property' of that family, that Alhaji Moctar Bamba is seen as an 'upstart caretaker' who was only temporarily overseeing the constituency for the real owners at a time when the Busia family were not sure of the NPP's chances of winning that seat, and that the Busia family intends to field a nephew of the late Dr. K. A. Busia as the NPP parliamentary candidate for this year's elections, and that to achieve their objective, it was necessary to 'clear' Alhaji Bamba out of the way, which they have now succeeded in doing in having the scandal exposed and having Alhaji Bamba resign as Minister?

  • The exercise of insertions and deletions of dead people at the Registry of births and Deaths for which some 95 new Registration Assistants were recruited, to be used as a basis for the faking of Voters' ID Cards by the NPP has been completed and the computer programmes sent to Lome, Togo, where they were processed, and that the revised programmes have since been returned to the Headquarters of the Registry of Births and Deaths in Accra?

  • The NPP Government has commissioned a covert opinion poll and survey to be conducted by some NGOs and civil society organizations in collaboration with certain pro-NPP media houses, particularly private newspapers, on public attitudes to the 2004 elections but with strict instructions for the findings to be overwhelmingly favourable to President Kufuor and the NPP, leaving only a few areas in Accra, the Volta Region and the three Northern Regions, to the NDC at best or at worst to make a 50-50 finding?

  • Reports from the intelligence agencies in Sunyani to the NPP Government confirm the significant upswing in support in the Brong Ahafo Region for the NDC as a result of which a Crisis Task Force led by General Secretary Dan Botwe and National Organiser Lord Commey is being dispatched with sackfuls of money to the region to try and win back the hearts and souls of the people of the region, and is it also true that similar moneys have been sent to the rural communities of the Central Region to try to convince them to register and vote for the NPP?
