JJ Planning Comeback

Flight Lt. Rawlings is a well-travelled man, in and out of office. In the year 2001, under the auspices of the United Nation's Year of Voluntarism, he was sponsored to a number of countries in Africa and other continents.

His attachment to the Year of Voluntarism ended in December 2001, but that has not dimmed his "Have suitcase, Will travel". At the time of writing, he was expected to have arrived from a European trip. His last stop was the historic city of Florence from where he took a connecting flight to Fumicino International (Rome) to return home.

UN sources have told The Accra Daily Mail that they are not picking his travel tabs anymore. Furthermore, he is yet to utilise the international travel facilities allowed him in his end of service benefits.

Recently, former US President Clinton named him to some advisory body on HIV/AIDS which involved one trip to the US.

He has been in and out of the tiny oil rich country of Equatorial Guinea a number of times. Recently, a special emissary of that country's President visited Ghana with a special message for President Kufuor.

The grave vine has it that he is raising funds for a possible come back. More on this in subsequent editions.
