FDB Boss gave Cocaine Tape To "Chief" Kufuor

Because we were not sure, Odikro raised it in his Column in our issue Vol. 12 No. 91 of Friday, August 25 – Monday, August 28, 2006, wanting to know the following:

“Whether it is not true that the person to whom the Chief Executive of the Food and Drugs Board, Kyeremateng Agyarko, gave the damning ACP Kofi Boakye cocaine tape to give to President Kufuor was “Chief” John Addo Kufuor, the President’s eldest son of “Hotel Kufuor” notoriety, and whether that is not the reason why Mr. Kyeremateng Agyarko is reluctant to mention the name of the person to the Georgina Woode Committee in public?”

Now we are sure, and we want to put it categorically. The Chief Executive of the Food and Drugs Board, Mr. Kyeremateng Agyarko, gave the “ACP Kofi Boakye Tape” to “Chief” John Addo Kufuor, the eldest son of President John Agyekum Kufuor, to be given to his father, the President.

We do not know whether “Chief” Kufuor did give the “cocaine tape” to his father, but given the relationship between father and son, which allowed the son to “purchase” “Hotel Kufuor” next door to his father’s private house, we believe he did.

We have received this information from a very credible source inside the Kufuor household, who has also warned us that the Kufuor family will never admit to these facts.

So the Georgina Woode Committee must put our information to the test. It is true that Kyeremateng Agyarko has refused to disclose who he gave the “cocaine tape” to, but the Committee must recall him, even if in camera, since it claims to have concluded its public sittings. The Committee must put to him directly what the lawyers will say is a leading question: “Was “Chief” John Addo Kufuor the “trusted agent” to whom you gave the “Kofi Boakye Tape” to be given to President Kufuor?”

Next the Committee must call “Chief” John Addo Kufuor and ask him directly, “Did Kyeremateng Agyarko give the “Kofi Boakye Tape” or any tape at all to you to be given to your father the President? If yes, did you give it to him?”

Finally, the Committee must call President Kufuor himself and ask him directly, “Did your son, “Chief” John Addo Kufuor, give the “Kofi Boakye Tape” to you? If yes, what did you do about it or with it?”

These questions are important, because for the Minister of National Security to come and tell the Committee and Ghanaians for that matter that “the President did not receive the tape because if he did, he would have given it to me” s, to say the least, to assume that all Ghanaians are gullible and non-discerning. If the President did not receive the tape, he must be the one to say so, not a surrogate.
