Hope Generation Ministry holds Conference

Prophet Dr Eric Nana Kwasi Amponsah, General Overseer of Hope Generation Ministry International, has called on politicians to demonstrate a high level of tolerance to ensure peace in the country.

He said the situation where some politicians utter inflammatory words anytime they come on air does not augur well for the country’s younger democracy.

Prophet Amponsah made the call at the launch of this year’s “Operation fire Your Enemies” conference of the church at Oblogo- Manchester, near Weija in the Greater Accra Region on Saturday.

The one-week conference, which begins on Tuesday, September 23, is aimed at praying for peace, unity and the stability of the national economy.

Prophet Amponsah said Ghanaians acknowledged the desire for politicians to serve the nation, but then “they should know that Ghana belongs to all of us.”

“How can we enjoy peace when the leaders who are supposed to preach it are not at peace and are divided,” he asked.

The General Overseer urged Ghanaians to work together as a nation with a common destiny to ensure national development.

He also advised his colleague men of God to desist from acts which may bring the clergy into disrepute.

On social responsibility, Prophet Amponsah said the church had acquired 120-acre plot of land at Akoti Junction, near Winneba in the Central Region, where schools and a hospital will be put up to cater for the educational and health needs of Ghanaians, particularly the poor and needy.

Apostle Chief Dr Boahene, General Overseer of the Ghana Gozi Chapel is among the speakers expected to address the conference.
