Calm the political temperature - Apostle Owusu-Achiaw

Nkatia (Ash), Jan 17, GNA – Apostle John Owusu-Achiaw, the General Overseer of the True Faith Church of Ghana, has appealed to politician to be more responsible in their conduct to calm the country’s rising political temperature.

He said he saw absolutely no reason for anyone or group to beat war drums and attempt to tear the society apart just for the sake of political power.

Making the appeal through the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Nkatia near Kumasi, he said “as humans, it should not be lost on us that, we are in transition on this earth and would one day be accountable to God for all our deeds.”

Apostle Owusu-Achiaw urged the church to use its tremendous influence with the population to encourage them to be tolerant and live in total peace and unity.

“Let us accept to be each other’s keeper, reject ethnocentrism and divisive tendencies.”

He also underlined the need for the church to intensify its effort at spreading the Gospel to help turn people away from evil, restore morality and discipline to the society.
