Youths urged to channel their energies into productive ventures

Accra, Sept. 3, GNA - Bishop Isaac Quaye, Founder of Word of Life Ministry, has urged youths to channel their energies into productive ventures that would guarantee them a secured future.

He said they must concentrate on their education and the word of God and desist from anti-social behaviours, which could put their future into jeopardy.

Bishop Quaye was addressing students of the Youth Evangelism School (YES) from across the country as part of its 37th anniversary celebrations at Madina in Accra on Friday.

Speaking on the theme: "Foundation for Successful Christian Life," the Bishop charged the youths to surrender their lives totally to Christ in order to receive the Holy Spirit and take a firm decision to lead righteous life.

Bishop Quaye also advised youths to be careful about whom they associated themselves with because bad company corrupts good morals.

He said they must associate themselves with those who would give them good advice and help them to live fruitful life.

He said they should be discipline and control their minds by choosing the right kind of information.

Later in an interview, the Director of YES, Reverend Dr. John Owusu-Afriyie said the school had trained over 10,000 members since its inception.

He said as part of its outreach programmes, the students go out to evangelize and win souls for churches they teamed up with.

Rev. Dr. Owusu-Afriyie said most of the charismatic churches in Ghana started from YES.

The school, he said, opens once a year but with time, it would be an-all-year round programme.
