Jesus Christ can handle every difficult situation - Church Elder

Accra, April 12, GNA - Mrs. Veronica Ntim Manteaw, Elder of the Asylum Down Presbyterian Church, on Sunday reminded Christians that Jesus Christ can take care of every difficult situation in our lives, urging Christians to always look up to God. "Jesus Christ has power over life and death and no situation is too difficult for him to handle so let us leave all our cares to him," she said.

Delivering the sermon on Easter Sunday on the theme: "Christ the Conqueror of Death and Hell has Risen," she said sometimes as Christians we worry unnecessarily as if we have forgotten that Christ died and resurrected because of us.

She used the example in the book of Mark Chapter 16 versus 1-8 where Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salome went to the grave side of Jesus to discover that he was alive and said, on their way to the grave they were worried unnecessarily about the big stone at the entrance of the tomb of Jesus.

"When they got there the stone had already been rolled away," she said, stressing that, "God knew our needs even before we pray and he will not let any situation overcome Christians." Mrs. Manteaw said because Christ had resurrected there is no need for a Christian to worry or fear because Jesus he had control over the world and will ensure that "we are successful, no matter the circumstances".

She therefore urged Christian to spread the good news about the death and resurrection power of Jesus Christ as well as his power to save every situation.

The Church used the day to inaugurate a singing group, Dynamic Singers.
