President of Nigerian Pentecostal Council arrives

Accra, Dec. 14, GNA - Bishop Ayo Oritse Jafor, President of the Nigerian Pentecostal Council, is the country as guest of honour at a weeklong crusade as part of activities marking Ghana@50 celebrations.

Speaking to journalists on arrival on Thursday Bishop Jafor said it was worth noting that Ghana could not have come this far without the grace of God.

He said apart from the fact that it was a time for celebration the Jubilee also marked a time to understand the Biblical truth of the blessing of God.

Touching on the role of the Church in today's world of moral decadence, Bishop Jafor said so far as the Bible had foretold such a situation, it certainly had to be expected.

He, however, said without the impact of Christianity, there would have been more vice than had ever been seen in the world. The Rev. Dr Lawrence Tetteh, an Evangelist, met Bishop Jafor on arrival at the airport together with Mr Richard Shakarian,

President of the International Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship.

The crusade ends on December 16.
