Presby Moderator dedicates a Church complex at Sefwi Bekwai

Sefwi-Bekwai (W/R), June 23, GNA - Right Reverend Dr Yaw Frimpong-Manso, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, at the weekend dedicated a GH¢300,000 Church house (manse) for the Sefwi-Bekwai congregation.

Dedicating the edifice at a colourful ceremony, the moderator called on worshipers to make Church houses, places of hope, comfort, peace and unity.

He said in secular culture, the Church must be a continual reminder of God's presence and holiness adding "therefore the building and all that belong to it and goes into it must re-affirm the holiness and the presence of God".

Rt. Rev. Dr Frimpong-Manso, who was preaching under the theme: "Jesus the Lord of the storm" at Sefwi-Bekwai in the Western Region expressed unhappiness that people now worshipped God in churches with pomp, music and dance, but their hearts were far from Him (God) and to spiritual realities.

The moderator assured Christians of the readiness of Jesus Christ to calm every storm in their lives only if they made it their aim to have an encounter with him.

"The Church and the nation seem to be in a great storm with economic waves beating hard against us and what we need is to rely on God's providence to save the nation from its economic doldrums", he added.
