Pilgrims urged to pay for Hajj 2016

The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana has reminded prospective Muslim pilgrims that payment of fares for the 2016 spiritual Hajj exercise ends on Friday, July 15, 2016.

It has therefore encouraged would-be pilgrims to immediately make their payments if they have not done so because the Pilgrims Affairs Office would not extend the date.

“You are, therefore, encouraged to speed up your payment process at this last hour so as to help yourself and the Hajj committee to achieve yet another successful Hajj this year”, a statement issued and copied The Ghanaian Times by a Deputy Communications Director of the Office, Mr. Mohammed Amin Lamptey said.

According to the statement, the office would not be responsible for any disappointment on account of late payment of Hajj fares by the prospective pilgrims.

“Your inability to meet the deadline by paying on time would cost you and at the same time affect the Hajj Committee in its efforts to achieve a smooth Hajj,” the statement said.

This year’s payment and processing of Hajj fares began in March and was expected to end this week Friday, July 15, 2016.

The Pilgrims Affairs Office wished all prospective Muslims a successful Hajj and reiterated its commitment to ensuring a hitch-free pilgrimage to Kaba, the Holy House of Allah in Mecca, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
