Pastor Joshua Midson of the New Atuabo Church of Christ on Monday called on striking doctors to temper justice with mercy and return to the consulting rooms to give medical care to Ghanaians especially the poor and the needy who could not offer private health care.

He added that, in Ghana, the generality of the people relied on government hospitals for primary health care and withdrawing their services was like, “literally killing innocent souls and God will not forgive you.”

Pastor Midson told the Ghana News Agency in a telephone interview that, doctors must reconsider their decision bearing in mind the sufferings of the ordinary Ghanaian and sacrifice a little more for them.

“I am preaching and pleading with you by the name and mercy of God through our Lord Jesus Christ that you all return to work as God fearing people.”

The Preacher Man added that “I am not urging you to forgive and go back to work because of what people are saying or what you want from the government but on humanization grounds”.
