New Anglican Deacon for Nkoranza

Nkoranza (B/A) Feb. 7 GNA=96 The Right Reverend Thomas Ampah Brient, Anglican Bishop of Sunyani Diocese, has urged persons who wish to enter the priesthood to have the courage and perseverance to serve humanity.

Preaching at the ordination service for Rev. Edward Baffoe, 53, as a deacon at St. Barnabas Anglican Church at Nkoranza, the Bishop commended the deacon for offering himself as a priest and prayed for God's guidance and protection for him.

Rt. Rev. Brient called on members of the Church to support the deacon and guide him to ensure the growth of the Church. He urged the Church to assist the poor, the sick and the needy and advised the members to live above reproach. Rt. Rev. Brient also advised the Church to avoid discrimination against any sections of the congregations to maintain the dignity, trust, and confidence of members.

Venerable Peter Kwadwo Sakyi, in-charge of the Nkoranza Anglican Church, advised members of the Church to encourage the deacon to render selfless service to humanity and the church. Rev. Baffoe gave the assurance that he would work hard to win more members for the Church.
