Latter-Day Saints undertake clean-up exercise

Takoradi, Aug. 20, GNA 97 Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis have undertaken a clean-up exercise in some health facilities in the area. Some of the facilities visited include the Kwesimintsim Polyclinic, Essikadu Hospital, European Hospital, Shama Polyclinic and Twin-City Specia= l School at Inchaban.

They cleared drains, cleaned floors and weeded the surroundings of the health facilities. The Head of the Kweikuma Ward of the Church, Bishop Lawrence Ackon, told the GNA that, the clean-up exercise forms part of the activities marking the All Africa Service Project. He said it is true that 93cleanliness is next to godliness" hence t= he need to keep the surroundings tidy and ensure a healthy life. He said health facilities are important institutions and that every well-meaning Ghanaian should help in cleaning up such facilities occasionally.

Mr Emmanuel Botwe, Community Relations Officer of the Church, appealed to other religious groups, organizations and individuals to follow their example to help keep our surroundings clean.
