Islamic Mission appeals for assistance

The leadership and members of the Islamic Mission Secretariat of Ghana have appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to help solve some of the challenges faced by the Secretariat to ensure its growth.

In a communiqué issued at the end of a conference and fund-raising rally at Nkoranza in the Brong-Ahafo Region, the Secretariat called on the Government to intensify religious and moral training at all levels of education to help curb corruption.

It was under the theme: “Living Islam in Challenging Times”.

The Secretariat also pleaded with the Government to consider building some senior high schools in the Muslim communities to enable the Islamic youth to have access to SHS education.

It urged the Government to consider appointing some of its members into metropolitan and municipal assemblies.
