Intensify the campaign against indiscipline - Moderator

Anyinam (Ash), April 5, GNA - Right Reverend Dr Yaw Frimpong-Manso, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), has urged the church to intensify the campaign against indiscipline in all forms and manifestation.

He said the church should re-orient its members to uphold Christian norms, values and practices adding that, they were at the crossroads in the maintenance of discipline.

Rt. Rev. Dr Frimpong-Manso was delivering a sermon on the theme: "Let us rise up and build", at a service to dedicate the Anyinam Presbyterian Church building at Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.

Funding for the project came through individual contributions and support from some philanthropists.

The Moderator said he was confident that the new building would go a long way to facilitate activities and progress of the church and therefore asked the Presbytery to keep it in good shape. Rt. Rev. Dr Frimpong-Manso encouraged Christians to use the occasion of the "Resurrection of Christ", to renew and strengthen their faith in God and live by the teaching of the bible. They should assist all people to live in unity, peace and reconciliation to make the world a better place to live. Rev. Alexander Akonnor Ampofo, Anyinam District Minister, thanked all those, who contributed in diverse ways to the successful completion of the church building.
