ICODEHS-GHANA donates wheel chairs, fridges a mosque and loud speaker

With funds from the Abu Dhabi Red Crescent, of the United Arab Emirates, four deep freezers and two wheel chairs have been presented to six persons in Accra.

The items worth several thousands of Ghana cedis were presented to the person’s five women and a man by the Islamic council for development and humanitarian services a Ghanaian civil society development organization in Ghana. According to the chairman of ICODEHS the fridges were meant to assist the beneficiaries some of whom are preachers to help them raise funds in their small business to support themselves and families. The two wheel chairs were also provided for the beneficiaries to feel comfortable as they move around at home and their communities. The donation is part of the program b ICODEHS to support the needy and handicapped to live meaningful lives throughout the country. So far a number of wheel chairs, deep freezers and sewing machines and the like have been donated to many needy people in the country. Meanwhile In line with its program to provide modern places of worship for Muslims of Ghana the ICODEHS has commissioned a new mosque for the people of Tutukpeni in the Northern Volta Region of Ghana. Apart from the mosque the council also donated a set of loudspeakers and a quantity of Holy Qurans to the Muslims in the area. THE LOUD SPEAKER

The mosque and items were provided with funding from the Red Crescent Society of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. The entire Muslims in the beneficiary area led by their imam thanked Allah the donors and ICODEHS for the project and the items donated to them and promised to put them to good use. Sheikh Mustapha Ibrahim Chairman of ICODEHS promised that the organization will continue to provide Muslims with mosques and other amenities in support of their religious duties and advised them to put the items to good use THE MOSQUE
