Humanity is failing to heed sermons to do right thing

Ho, March 24, GNA - Dr Richmond Nfodwo, National Coordinator of the E.P Church Development and Relief Agency (EPDRA), has said the problem of humanity was not ignorance of what was right but the blatant refusal to do the right thing.

He said people had lived through many Christian celebrations, including Easter at which piety and all its ramifications were preached loud and clear but yet sin and evil doing continued to rule the world. Dr Nfodwo, who was delivering the Easter Sunday sermon at the SSNIT Ho Branch of the E.P. Church, said while many loathed the role of Judas in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ; many people living now reflected characteristics that made them more treacherous and wicked than him (Judas).

He said all manner of evil now replete interpersonal relations in homes, workplaces and the society and urged Christians to see the death and resurrection of Christ as an opportunity of spiritual renewal. Dr Nfodwo said if one refused to change them, he was figuratively dead and buried, while alive, and would rot, never to rise again. He said a Christian must be responsible for his or her actions, never blaming mistakes on misfortunes, but repenting and trusting that with fortitude, God would guide him or her to overcome problems. Dr Nfodwo appealed to Christians to forgive those who wrong them and be tolerant of people who plot against them.
