Half Assini Methodist Church gets new Superintendent Minister

Half Assini (W/R), Jan. 26, GNA - The Bishop of the Sekondi Diocese of the Methodist Church of Ghana, Right Rev. Edward Ofori Donkor, has advised Christians to welcome Jesus into their lives, no matter how the situation might be, because without him there is no life and prosperity.

Bishop Donkor gave the advice at the induction into office of Reverend Irene Maud Eshun, as the Superintendent Minister of the Half Assini circuit of the Methodist Church, at Half Assini, in the Jomoro District, of the Western Region.

The theme for the occasion was "Apostle sent to preach the Good news".

Bishop Donkor said that ministers of the Gospel should not only mobilize congregation and preach to them but also ensure that they accepted Christ as their saviour.

He said that every minister is sent by God to proclaim the work of God, adding that, "the office of a minister is a high office and must be held for life.
