Gospel Ministers must exhibit Good character- Rev Opare Darko

Accra, Sept 4, GNA - The District Pastor of the Nsawam branch of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. Kweku Opare Darko, has charged Ministers of the Gospel, to exhibit good character at all times. Speaking at the fourth Graduation and Ordination Ceremony of the Overcomers International Bible School in Achimota, on Saturday, Rev Darko said it has become difficult to be a minister in recent times, due to the bad attitudes of certain pastors, which affects all Ministers. It was under theme: "Transformed into a Man That God Uses". He said God looks at the heart, when choosing people for positions and not at the appearance and urged them to be zealous about the work of God.

Ninety six students graduated from the school and were each awarded a Diploma Certificate in Theology and Practical Ministry. Fifty four Pastors were also ordained as Apostles and branch pastors in the church. Addressing the congregation, the Rector of the school and President of the Overcomers International Bible Church, Bishop Dr. Benjamin Arko Harrison said the school was started to train church leaders and equip them to save lost souls.

He advised the graduates not to focus too much on making money but to spread the Word of God.

The occasion was graced by Ghana's former Ambassador to Togo, His Excellency Kwabena Mensah Bonsu as well as other dignitaries.
