The God’s Power Prayer Camp Church is to raise funds to support the poor and the needy, as well as widows in some selected communities.

The first phase of the project which will begin from Nsuoakyi, near Winneba in the Central Region from September 22, is aimed at improving their standards of living.

Prophet Akwasi Asamoah, General Overseer, disclosed this at the launch of the project in Accra on Friday.

He said the project dubbed "I Shall Offer To the Lord" formed part of the humanitarian services of the church which started some six years ago.

Prophet Asamoah said plans were also far advanced for the church to put up a school and a hospital to cater for the educational and health needs of the community.

He urged the youth to be creative, and not to rely solely on government for white collar jobs.

The General Overseer took the opportunity to appeal to Ghanaians to ensure that next year’s elections were conducted in a peaceful atmosphere.

He called for support from corporate bodies and institutions to enable the church execute the projects.
