Ghanaians urged to work hard to sustain nation's peace

Kumasi, Jan 16, GNA - The Reverend Father John Owusu-Achiaw, Parish Priest of the Bantama Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Kumasi, has urged Ghanaians to work hard to sustain the peace and stability in the country particularly now that it is preparing for general elections. He said they could do that by tolerating other people's views since all could not have one idea on an issue. Rev Fr Owusu-Achiaw was speaking at a 'Love Feast' celebration of the church in Kumasi last Sunday.

The feast brought the congregation together to reflect on the church's activities for last year, the way forward and also shared food. The Parish Priest said this year was a period for Ghanaians to show to the world that they are one people and understand democracy by not indulging in any violent means to derail the democratic process. At the ceremony, 31 members of the church were honoured for their dedication, commitment and selfless services to the church and were presented with certificates.
