Ghanaians urged to trust and depend on God

Kumasi, Jan. 1, GNA - The Anglican Bishop of Kumasi, Right Reverend Dr Daniel Yinkah Sarfo, has asked Ghanaians to put their trust in God and depend on Him for their needs.

"God knows the beginning and the end of life and we can face tomorr= ow if we live in Christ Jesus," he said. He was delivering a New Year message at a watch night service held at the Saint Cyprian's Anglican Cathedral in Kumasi on Friday. Speaking on the theme: 93Let us rise up and build and the God of Hea= ven will grant us success", Bishop Sarfo, denounced the polarization of the nation along political, tribal and religious lines and said all must work together to heal wounds as 93we enter the year 2011."

"We need to rise up and wage war on all tendencies that divide us a people." The Anglican Bishop asked the political leaders to ensure more responsible conduct pointing out that, the peace of the nation should never be taken for granted. He said they needed therefore to constantly remind themselves and be guided by the bitter experiences of countries such as Rwanda, Liberia and Sierra-Leone and lately la Cote d'Ivoire. He appealed to the people to appreciate that they have a common destiny and work hard to promote their common good.
