Ghanaian pilgrims schooled on Hajj rituals

Hundreds of prospective hajj pilgrims in Ghana have been schooled on the dos and don’ts of hajj pilgrimage.

The programme held at the Hajj Village in Accra was to ensure that practical information about hajj activities is disseminated among all pilgrims.

The pilgrims were taken through all the hajj rituals to perform at the various stages of the pilgrimage.

The one day sensitization programme was initiated by the Hajj Agents Association with support from the Hajj Committee.

Public Relations Officer of the Hajj Agents Association, Alhassan Zakaria, told XYZNEWS in an interview that there are some prohibitions that pilgrims are supposed to abide by in the Kingdom of Saudi.

“While performing the Hajj, pilgrims are under many obligations to do and perform their hajj satisfactory and according to the teachings of Islam. The most important part of performing Hajj includes wearing Ihram,” he noted.

Meanwhile, the Turkish Corporation Agency under the Office of the Prime Minister has donated medicines to the Hajj Committee for the pilgrims.
