Evangelist advises traditional rulers not to shun Christianity

Oguaa (C/R), Sept. 12, GNA - Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, a renowned Evangelist on Friday called on chiefs and traditional leaders across the country not to detach their ruler-ship from Christianity. "As you serve the people, you should also draw strength, power and knowledge from God to enhance the growth and development of your kingdom", Dr Tetteh said when he paid a visit to the Oguaa Traditional Council as part of a four-day crusade in the Central Region. The crusade will bring together 38 campus ministries within the Cape Coast University, members of the region's Christian Council of Churches and other invited ministers of the gospel to seek the face of God for the individual's and the nation as a whole.

He noted King Amugi of the Ga state, King Ghartey of Winneba and King Agyeman I of the Ashanti kingdom (all of Blessed memory) who made God the head of their kingdom and thus counted as one of the kings who ensured massive development in their respective kingdoms. Dr. Tetteh therefore advised Ghanaians to also endeavour to elect a God fearing leader who would help unearth God's plan for the country. Osabarim Kwesi Atta II, President of the Central Regional House of Chiefs commended Dr. Tetteh for his contribution to the development of the nation,adding, "you have been an ambassador both at home and abroad". He urged Ghanaians to exercise maximum circumspection in the selection of a leader.
