Nkawkaw, Dec. 18, GNA - The Synod Secretary of the Koforidua Dioceses of the Methodist church, Very Rev Joseph Ossei has called on Christians to rise up against immoral activities such as armed robbery, drug peddling, teenage pregnancy and other indiscipline acts to save the country from further destruction.

He said since Christians form a greater percentage of the country's populations, they should not sit down for few disgruntled groups and individuals to hold the country to ransom.

Very Rev.Ossei was speaking at the 8th annual delegates conference of the Association of Methodist Men's Fellowship in the Diocese at Nkawkaw.

The conference was organized under the theme: "you are the salt and light of the earth".

He said as light and salt of the earth, Christians should use their various doctrines to salvage the society from going astray. The Synod Secretary said light and salt play a significant role in human development and therefore advised Christians to unite and come out with positive suggestions to reduce the high rate of negative tendencies in the society.
