Christians reminded to follow doctrines of Christ

Kwesiminstim (W/R), April 27, GNA- The Right Reverend John Harvey-Ewusi, Bishop of the Sekondi diocese of the Methodist Church, on Sunday said, Christians must continue following the doctrines of Jesus Christ irrespective of the consequences.

He said though many would have to endure pain and suffering and sometimes deprivation, it was all aimed at strengthening the faith of the believer. Rev. Harvey-Ewusi said these during a sermon to climax a five-day synod of the Sekondi diocese of the Methodist Church at kwesiministim. It was on the theme "Oh! Holy Spirit, Establish us in the Lord Jesus for the unfinished task".

He said all pain, suffering, sickness and other unfortunate circumstances in society were not permanent.

Rev. Harvey-Ewusi expressed his sadness at the greed, selfishness; stealing and other negative acts that dominate the lives of many, including some Christians.

Rev. Harvey-Ewusi urged Christians to remain faithful to God and wait for his deliverance, adding, and "this could only happen if the Holy Spirit operates in you". He said the circumstances that Christ found himself in, were all in the interest of mankind.
