Christians cautioned against magicians in Priestly robes

Ho, Jan. 10, GNA - A pastor has cautioned Christians against wanderin= g into the 93power of magicians" in priestly garbs in their search for quick-fix solutions to their problems. The Rev Richard Afenyo Daketse, Koforidua District Pastor of the E.P. Church, said this when he addressed the congregation of the Ho-Bankoe Elorm E.P. Church on Sunday.

He said many miracle-crazy members of orthodox Christian churches had become easy preys to the new breed of magicians who have found convenient cover in Christianity to lead many away from the faith. Rev Daketse said the type of miracles available in the orthodox Churche= s came through personal discipline, earnest prayer and faith in God and not the glamour and mesmerizing spectacles associated with magical displays. "Who can tell how he or she gets to wake up from sleep in the morning= ? That is a real and daily miracle in which nobody has a hand." "True miracles are Christ-like in their manifestations and not for sale," he said.

He therefore appealed to Christians to stay put in their Churches, be prayerful and patient in expectation of their miracles.
