Beposo Methodist Church gets GH¢428.00 manse

Beposo (Ash), Nov 15, GNA - A GH¢428.00 Manse built for the Beposo Cal= vary Methodist Church in the Brodekwano Circuit has been inaugurated amidst fanfare. It was financed by the Very Reverend Joseph M. Donkor, a retired Minister of the Church, and his family in fulfilment of a pledge made at the thanksgiving service of his late mother Madam Elizabeth Boadu also known as Abena Daabom.

On hand to perform the ceremony was the Right Rev. Kwame Omane-Achamfour, Superintendent Minister of Bantama Circuit. The inauguration coincided with the annual harvest of the church dur= ing which an amount of GH¢113,000.00 was realized to support its developmen= t programmes. The Rt. Rev. Omane-Achamfour said the Methodist Church Ghana, was grateful to the Very Rev Donkor and his family for the "wonderful gift." "This is a great legacy that you have left, what your family has don= e will never be forgotten in the history of the Methodist Church." He encouraged Christians to cultivate the habit of giving adding, "G= od looks at the heart of the giver during harvest." He said there should not be the slightest doubt about God's immeasurable reward for people who give sacrifice without counting the co= st. The Very Rev Donkor said the family decided to build the manse for t= he church in memory of their mother, a devout Christian and who in her lifet= ime had a passion for sharing whatever she had with others. He pledged their continued assistance to the church. Rev Benjamin K Anson, Minister of Calvary Church, asked for God's blessing for the family and urged the church members to emulate the gestu= re.
