Apostolic Head warns renegades within the Church

Accra, July 8, GNA - Apostle Annan Adotey, President of the Apostolic Church, Ghana, has warned some members who have ganged themselves to rebel against the Church Administration to desist or face expulsion.

He said such persons were showing opposition to directives, even to the extent of luring others to join their undisciplined acts, adding that, the church would deal ruthlessly with all forms of rebellion. Apostle Adotey who was speaking at a farewell service for Apostle Justifier Darko Korang, former head of Area 'B' branch, said recently some pastors were interdicted and others dismissed for various forms of insubordination.

Apostle Adotey advised members not to allow themselves to be wooed but to remain loyal to God and the Church and give out their best in the service of the nation and mankind.

In a sermon, Apostle Joseph Anim, former President of the Church paid tribute to Apostle Korang for his dedicated service urging him to continue ministerial work "always remembering Jesus Christ" in all things.

He also urged Ghanaians to let Christ be at the centre of their lives so that they would not indulge in acts inimical to the economic growth of the country.

Apostle Korang has served in various capacities for 29 years and credited for his hardworking, selflessness and good human relations. His ministerial qualities earned him several positions in the Executive Council of the Church. He was the Greater Accra Regional Vice Chairman of the Ghana Pentecostal Council.
